Nov. 11 is a day set aside every year to honor, thank and support the brave men and women who have served our country in the military.

At Energy Transfer, we believe veterans should be celebrated year-round for their hard work and sacrifice. We are proud to support America’s veterans via various initiatives, events and sponsorships.

Energy Transfer Supports Our Veterans

Energy Transfer is proud to support the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association (DCVMA). For the fourth year, we contributed $50,000 to sponsor the Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink, where local families can enjoy outdoor ice skating throughout the winter season. We also offer “Educate and Skate” events for local students, allowing them to learn about the Delaware County Veterans Memorial from educators before a free skating session. Energy Transfer also supports DCVMA’s Freedom Medal Dinner, an annual event that honors local veterans with the Freedom Medal Award.

In addition to DCVMA, Energy Transfer proudly supports Carry the Load, a nonprofit organization that hosts community gatherings and storytelling events nationwide to honor the sacrifices made by those who carried the load for all of us. Again this year, our team supported the Carry the Load East Coast team in its relay by joining in both the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh routes.

Energy Transfer was excited to again sponsor the Army-Navy Cup, an annual soccer match between the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy. On Oct. 11, both teams battled for the Army-Navy Cup XIII and Army Men’s Soccer took home the trophy!

Wreaths Across America is another organization that Energy Transfer is honored to support. This organization remembers fallen heroes by placing wreaths during December on veterans’ graves at Arlington National Cemetery, in all 50 states and abroad. Starting small and then growing, last year we played a part in placing over 3 million veterans’ wreaths on headstones at 4,225 participating locations.

Fish for the Fallen is a fishing competition with a cause. Eight teams of veterans and first responders honor an individual who has fallen and they fish together at Patriot’s Cove in Nox, Pennsylvania. This event offers veterans a chance to find family once again in other veterans, and part of the event’s proceeds support events for injured veterans. Energy Transfer had the privilege of sponsoring and participating in the annual event this year.

Finally, Energy Transfer continues to support various events and parades in the community each year in honor of veterans and active military personnel. This year, members of the Marcus Hook Terminal fire brigade showcased its engine in the annual Marcus Hook Memorial Day Parade.

The Energy Transfer team is proud to support these amazing organizations and events, and we look forward to continuing to honor our nation’s heroes, present and past.
